It all began when Uncle Tommy, eager for a new adventure post-retirement from a local distillery, decided to dive into the exciting world of producing wine! Meanwhile, Aunt Jane, juggling her role at the bank, became the powerhouse behind the business, managing everything from paperwork to finances, and working alongside Uncle Tommy to distribute their wines to over 30 retail locations across Indiana, keeping Uncle Tommy joyfully busy in the winery. After an incredible 35 years, they embraced their new chapter of retirement, but instead of shutting down, they passed the torch to their nephew and his wife, Derek and Nancy Scudder, to carry on their remarkable legacy of crafting and sharing wines that have become a beloved staple in Southeast Indiana. Now, Derek and Nancy are buzzing with excitement as they prepare to open a tasting room in the vibrant DORA district of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, with plans to bring the wine production along shortly after. Cheers to new beginnings!
