Wine Pairings

Wine Pairings sound so STRESSFUL!
No worries, we'll make this easy for you.

HOW TO PAIR

Sweet Wines: should be as sweet as or sweeter than your dish. Otherwise, the wine may taste dull or sour.

Semi-sweet Wines: spicy and/or light foods

Dry Wines: bold, earthy flavors

Barrel-Aged: charred and grilled items bring out the flavor of the barrel in the wine.

SWEET & HEAT

Combine those fiery spicy dishes with delightful wines that have a touch of residual sugar, like a luscious Riesling or TRW's Blush, or Country Rosé. This sweet addition of wine cools the spice and creates a perfect harmony.

What are DESSERT wines?

A dessert wine is a sweet wine that is meant to be served at the end of a meal. TRW's sweetest wines include Sweet Harvest, Peach Crush, Dam View Red and Wild Cherry.

MEATS & WINE

A bold, red wine, like TRW's Swiss Fine Festival, is the perfect companion for indulgent meats like steak or lamb, while a crisp, light wine, such as TRW's Country White, beautifully complements delightful dishes like fish or chicken.

Glazes & Sauces with Wines

Enjoying a hearty meat like beef, but have a sweet, honey glaze, or a sauce with a little fiery heat? Pair with a sweet red wine like TRW's BlackJack!

Barrel-Aged Wines

Smoke and Oak...

Pair barrel-aged wines like TRW's Fancy Red and Barrel-Aged Blackberry, with foods that have been charred or grilled... veggies, mushrooms and meats like chicken, pork, beef and even fish.
